About Recall Radar
Your unified source for U.S. product recall information
Recall Radar was created to solve a simple but critical problem: finding U.S. product recalls is unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming.
Currently, recalls are scattered across multiple federal agencies—CPSC and FDA—each with their own website, search interface, and data format. For consumers trying to determine if a product in their home has been recalled, this means visiting multiple websites and learning different search systems.
Our mission is to centralize this critical safety information in one place, making it fast and easy for anyone to search across all agencies, receive alerts for products they care about, and take action to protect their families.
How Recall Radar Works
We collect, organize, and deliver recall information from official sources
We continuously monitor official data sources from two federal agencies:
- CPSC API (Consumer Products)
- FDA API (Food, Drugs, Medical Devices)
All data comes directly from official government sources—we do not create or modify recall information.
Our system checks for new recalls regularly:
- CPSC: Every 10 minutes
- FDA: Every 10 minutes
New recalls typically appear on Recall Radar within 1 hour of being published by the agency.
We organize recalls into a unified database with:
- Standardized categories across agencies
- Full-text search across all fields
- Filtering by agency, brand, category, and date
- Direct links to official source pages
No more visiting multiple websites—search everything in one place.
Stay informed automatically:
- Create custom watchlists for specific products or categories
- Receive email notifications when matching recalls are published
- Choose instant, daily, or weekly alert frequency
- Manage all watchlists from one dashboard
Never miss a recall for products you care about.
Official Data Sources
Important Information
Data Accuracy
Recall Radar aggregates data from official government sources. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy and timeliness, we cannot guarantee that all recalls are captured or that the information is complete or error-free. Always verify critical information on official agency websites.
Not Legal Advice
The information provided on Recall Radar is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, medical, or professional advice. If you have questions about a specific recall, contact the manufacturer or the issuing agency directly.
No Affiliation
Recall Radar is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any government agency. We are not CPSC or FDA—we simply organize their publicly available data.
Coverage Limitations
Our service covers recalls from two major U.S. federal agencies (CPSC and FDA). Some state or local recalls, international recalls, or recalls from other agencies may not be included. We are continuously working to expand coverage.
Questions or Feedback?
We're constantly working to improve Recall Radar. If you have questions, suggestions, or encounter any issues, we'd love to hear from you.
